That wonderful NAFTA agreement allows Mexican trucking companies, once they qualify, to cross the border and deliver their goods in the US. They have finally started a trickle of such trucks after years of squabling with the Transportation Department over requirements.
The Teamsters Union doesn't like this because it can't be fully reciprocal. Too much danger of US trucks in Mexico getting jacked by the drug cartels.
The Teamsters have always been a very tough crowd and have taken violent action over the years in many strike situations. But they are tied to Obama politically and I don't think there is any chance of them taking direct action against Mexican trucks in the US.
