In my town, illegals cross the bridge from mexico on a daily basis to go to school in Texas schools. They are not US citizens, nor are they legal residents. It has been going on for years. Our school taxes are outrageous because of them and they can not be refused. It's obscene. They should be going to school in mexico.. They do have schools there. Instead, they take the services that should be reserved for our children for their benefit.
It goes on in Arizona as well. We witnessed school buses coming through at San Luis to drop kids at schools in Sommerton and Yuma.
The Wackenhut busses commissioned to take illegals back would often have to wait in line while those school buses got cleared through on there way back after 3:00PM. Nutty policy.

Are there any Canadian kids that come over for school in the United States?...
...Gee, a kid from a neighboring town was caught and they can't catch someone from another country?
As a rhetorical question, should a kid "from another country" be able to go to school here?...

And you are in a border community that can base that on kids coming over to go to school?...
I'll say it again, it's not an illegal immigration topic (if the parents were here at one time, they are back over there now). It's worth pointing out that any potential resident present as a U.S. citizen later on would be preferable to educate in the United States. Any costs will pay off when that person is employed here as an adult.
Clearly not an illegal immigration topic. But still on they go...
The children are obviously crossing the border legally through US ports of entry...so they are legal.
It is impossible to tell if they are legal in the school system or not with the infromation in hand. In most areas school funding is on a per capita basis so they in no way injure the school.
But whether legal to the school system or not they are not illegal aliens.

What in heaven's name are you talking about? We don't have enough jobs for our OWN people and you say training foreigners to compete with our own people is just dandy? That idea just comes from another planet.

So now taxpayers should pay for "potential" residents, while our school budgets are bursting at the seams, and our children receive a subpar education? We used to be at the top academically. Now we're near the bottom. This is one of many problems created by allowing illegal aliens and other non-citizens to come to this country to give birth to a U.S. citizen. We are being used to the max, while the Mexican government sits back and laughs at the BILLIONS we spend annually on the children of THEIR citizens. Mexico has schools. These children do not reside in the U.S. and U.S. citizens should not be forced to foot the bill for their education. Perhaps if millions of Mexicans didn't flee their country, they could build a better Mexico, and could seek employment there as adults. After all, the children's families are in Mexico, not here. This BS must stop.

I am not aware of any public school system that does not require children to be residents of their district to attend school. In fact, a U.S. citizen living in NJ was fined for daring to send her child to a school out of her district. Heck, children can't even attend public schools in Mexico unless they are citizens. Or, perhaps they changed that policy with their new immigration laws intended to convince the U.S. to legalize their millions of citizens who brazenly flout our laws.
With that said, these kids are not illegal aliens as long as they're legally crossing the border because they're not actually residing in the US. It's legal for Mexican citizens to cross the border into the US without visas for a certain period of time.

How is it that you know the children are not residents of the district? The classical approach forever is to register from sisters house or grandma's house or ....,
Depending on the code it is often legal. In fact if Grandma or Sister has custody it is always legal.
Another approach is parents have a legal residence in the district.

No problem. If they don't use our resources, close our hospitals, send their many children to our schools, don't take our jobs, and GO HOME.
