Well, first off, let's add the Birmingham region's 6.8% rate for December, 2011, to the mix. Let's see. 0.9% decline from June through September, then a marked plummet of 2.1% in the three months I highlight.
Look, LL, I realize that you will grasp at any straw to keep a bunch of illegals in the country at the expense of citizens and legal residents, but Alabama's dramatic drop in unemployment simply have not been matched on a national level or even in the surrounding states. Given the similarity of the state's economy to Georgia, Tennessee, Mississippi, and South Carolina, one could reasonably interpret the extraordinary divergence in employment as having a cause independent of the region's common economy.
