Not true. The largest percentages of immigrants here both legally and illegally are Latinos. It is killing the job opportunities for blue collared Americans.
I think that poster was referring to the following:
"But here's a fact that goes without much attention: Asians have now taken over Latinos as the largest group of new arrivals every year.
In 2010, 36% of new immigrants were Asians compared to 31% for Hispanics, according to a report released Tuesday by the Pew Research Center."
While most are not illegal, excepting those who overstay their visas and/or are smuggled in via container ships, etc., I actually think that this is more alarming for our country since they are more likely to take higher-paying jobs than are their Latino counterparts.
Anyway, doesn't surprise me that so many support the president. I've not heard anyone I know personally express disapproval. Small sample size, sure, but, there you go.
I agree with the policy but I disagree with the way in which it was implemented.
I have spoken with quite a few people who share your sentiment. For the first time, many will simply not vote. I don't think Obama realizes how many people he has lost. They no longer respect him. And, some were staunch Obama supporters.

Hardliners will always vote. The fact is their are more Democratic hardliners than there are GOP hardliners. Obama's big win was in Independents. The I's dont turn out Obama wins.

Almost all polls use small sample sizes even during elections they only use around 1,000-2,000 people.
This is just another smoke and mirror diversion to do damage control by the Obama camp. IMO...pretty standard technique....if they report an issue the way they want the American people to interpret it enough times they think we will believe it is true....
You gotta be careful with these type of polls. If they asked "Do you agree with Obama........." about 50% would say yes just to agree with Obama and not know anything about the issue.
We'll see about this in November. Any poll can be scewered to obtain the desired results.
"I refuse to believe everyone's not as biased and unreasonable as I am!!! The poll is wrong because I say so!!"

As opposed to the dozen or so regular posters here? You guys represent the extreme position, and like it or not, the vast majority of people don't live by extremes. Most people probably don't even think about immigration on a daily basis, and it's probably far down on the list on issues they vote on.

Anecdotals aren't public opinion polls.

Looks like a skewed poll to help obama. I didn't see anything other than the sample size. Nothing about who was polled, how the question was phrased, etc.
The stupid will cheer obama but the rest of us will be removing him from office in a few months.
