My question is why weren't low-risk American citizen detainees released instead? Why illegal immigrants? I would think that Americans who are allowed to work in this country opposed to illegal immigrants who are not would be a better bet financially and economically for our country or more apt to have family here that could take them in and support them.

That's an excellent question. Why didn't they release some of the hundreds of thousands of citizens incarcerated for possession of an ounce of weed, with no other criminal record? At least we would know their true identity, unlike illegal aliens who generally are using either fake or stolen ID, and have several aliases. Not to mention, they have no legal right to even be here.

Yes, the floodgates have opened. They are flocking here to participate in the amnesty gift. Funny, somehow they managed to reach the U.S. side of the border. I wonder how that's possible, given our "more secure than ever" borders.

We're being sold out by our Hispandering government. We don't matter anymore.

I will have to disagree with you here. Employers aren't hiring illegal immigrants because young adults are refusing to work. It is all about greed on the part of the employer and increasing their profits.

I doubt that every unemployed American is just lazy but the welfare programs are part of the problem. Americans can live better from welfare handouts than from working. Obama had to get another unemployment extension before starting on his big amnesty proposals for that reason.

Without the long term unemployment benefits and ease of moving onto disability and food stamps, more Americans would oppose this big amnesty being propsosed where any foreigner coming here to take jobs or give birth is going to be rewarded for doing so.
