No more lousy quality construction....ditto....
not only are some illegals providing us with high quality construction, but many citizens are providing us with lousy quality construction. its a two-way street.

illegals just get a bad rep because they are usually called to work on job sites where the contractor is looking to cut corners, hence the cheap labor, and so they provide the workers with cheap product and tools.

Farms and businesses ran before the latest wave of illegal immigration...what's to say they won't run with out illegal immigration....

umm, the economy? aside from underpaying farmhands, they are also receiving subsidies. what makes you think a farm struggling to get by in those circumstances is going to somehow succeed when they have to pay an "american" wage?

And if you honestly think that even with a license 90% of them still won't have INSURANCE, I'd say you couldn't be more wrong. At least if they have no ID it makes it easier to find that they're here illegally and DEPORT THEM.

how would you know theyre here illegally if you cant identify them??

how can they even attempt to purchase insurance without having a license??

your contempt for illegals has overrode common sense. they dont hurt anyone by having licenses, and there are benefits such as providing them with the opportunity to purchase insurance. and if even one buys that insurance, then providing licenses is worth it.

MOD CUT if you want a country without illegal aliens, then take away their incentives for crossing illegally by implementing fair immigration processes. if you want a country without large numbers of mexican immigrants, work towards balancing the mexican and american economies.

your ideas of deportation and fence-building are not going to provide you with the end result you seek.

If you gave each potential bank robber a guaranteed monthly government stipend, he'd be less inclined to rob banks. You'd be effectively taking away his bank-robbing incentives. You'd be removing his REASON to rob banks. You catch more flies with honey than with vinegar. Everyone responds to a little kindness and "positive feedback"...

Why?

They are going to be here, anyway. Here in Long Island, NY, the residents squawk a lot, but like the cheap labor. That's why the laws not enforced.

If they have driver's licenses, now there's some kind of paper trail on them. So, if they violate the law, their picture is on record, that is something.

What kind of garbage is this?! Government stipends only need to be given to folks who obey our laws and want to make positive contributions to our country.

As for bank robbers, why would a guy want a $1000 check from the govt when he can rob one bank and get $20000?

No rewards from the government to lawbreakers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Please do not try to make sense, the answer is NO followed by DEPORT, no discussion needed...

That is very broad minded of you.

Politics has been called the art of the possible. If you want to make your idea part of the realm of the possible, rather than slinging slogans, the first step is to go after those employers who give those people jobs, and the economic interests behind them. I mean, with really stiff fines, and prison sentences.

Ah, like ranting and raving better? That's what I figured. Start printing up the licenses.
