Washington (AFP) - US President Barack Obama on Thursday said he was powerless to stop mass expulsions of illegal immigrants, which prompted one Latino advocacy group to brand him "deporter in chief."

The president said Congress was requiring him to enforce existing immigration laws while balking at passing a comprehensive bill that would offer illegal immigrants a path to citizenship.

Obama blames Congress for deportations

I'm def Ok with NOT allowing amnesty, even if it means the POTUS and Congress blaming each other for blocking it.

My, how interesting since he didn't have any qualms about using is his executive power to bypass congress to give hundreds of thousands of them a stay of deportation with work permits and then instructing Homeland Security not to deport any illegals unless they have a criminal record. Didn't seem so powerless then, did he? If I were president I would wear the label of "Deporter in Chief" proudly. That would mean that I was upholding the laws of this country of which I was sworn to do rather than pandering to a group of citizens who think their group should be above our laws.

"I cannot ignore those laws any more than I can ignore any of the other laws that are on the books."

-- Barack Obama, March 6th, 2014

Maybe someone should etch these words in granite and staple them to his forehead.

Is this the same Obama who proudly proclaims that deportations are increasing under his administration, to attempt to silence his critics?

Now he says that he is being forced to follow the law concerning deportations, with the exception of those who can be useful to him.

Baby Barry, you can't have it both ways. Once again you LIE.

Illegals know that Obama can and will do it by executive order -- that's how he legalized millions of illegals --essentially all illegals under age 31.

The elderly illegals want their fat American social security checks or SSI for their retirement -- they know Obama just has to legalize them and they've hit the jackpot.
