WP: New Illegal Immigrants to U.S. Surpass Legal Immigrants - Democratic Underground

Data that is ten years old (the article was in 2005, the data is up to 2004) has changed. In 2012, there was 13.3 million Legal Permanent Residents (65% eligible to naturalize, but have not) alone (increasing at a pace of about 325,000 per year). That's not counting legal immigrants that have naturalized to U.S. citizenship (citizenship does not take away the fact that you immigrated from somewhere else). You have to go through legal residency (i.e. "legally immigrate") to naturalize.

That even shoots down the myth that the Democratic Party supports illegal immigration for the potential votes. If it were for votes, they would put the effort into naturalizing the 8.8 million eligible LPRs, 30% of them Mexican Nationals, that could almost immediately then vote in the next election (instead of "legalizing" illegal aliens somehow to legal residency, then wait more than five years for them to apply to naturalize). President Obama would instead be creating Executive Orders to lower the costs of the 'N' applications (USCIS has two types of forms, the 'I' forms are for immigration, and the 'N' forms are for naturalization), and the Democrats would be running intensive naturalization campaigns.

One should at least commend them for that.

Adding millions from cultures to our country either legally or illegally that don't adhere to that common sense approach to child bearing is not a plus for our country. Should the Japanese (insert any country here) pump out kids like there is no tomorrow to keep up with the high birthrates of "immigrants" so that they can retain their identity as an Asian nation and stress their natural and social resources even more? No, the smart thing to do is to limit legal immigration and completely repel illegal immigration.

You know Old Glory you do have a point. Its is true that "so called whites Fam" have declining births, because most of us have other things to than raising 8 kids,2 mother in-laws and a dog!

Immigrants legal or not have kids for a foot hold here in this country. This is not rocket science. You got more patience than me dealing with some of these guys!

For a bunch of folks that swear this has nothing to do with race and/or ethnicity, you sure talk a lot about race and/or ethnicity.
Remember illegal immigrants come in all shapes and colors.
