The majority of illegals are coming from third world countries.
They are used to and accept corrupt governments.
They will be quite happy ignoring politics and voting for whomever promises them the most.

The only way they would vote against the Democrats is their viewing abortion as murder.

So the demographics in New York will reflect the countries which send the most illegals. What advantages will legal immigrants have over illegals in competing for affordable housing and jobs. After all legal immigrants spent time and money to come legally. Obviously those in charge in NY have the illegals best interest over citizens interest.

No, the bill is not likely to be passed anytime soon, the sponsor of it admits as much in local news media coverage. If Cuomo and the Democrats/liberals in NYS government couldn't get the state's version of "Dream Act" passed it does not bode well for any sort of "state citizen" bill for illegals either.

This is an election year in NYS and thus *NOTHING* will come up between now and November that is likely to tick off a majority of the electorate. Yes, in the liberal/left NYC there might be support for such a law, but once you travel elsewhere in this state you hear a different story.

Supporters of illegals are hoping to pull what gays did with Cuomo when he ran first time around, but things are different this time. For one thing Mr. Cuomo has eyes on national office including a possible run for the WH in 2016. His pushing of gay marriage in NYS along with a host of other liberal issues may or may not harm him say in other states but why add to that list with an "amnesty" sort of law in NYS?
