So you don't believe in borders, your culture, your nation, or anything. Swell. clearly your education was lacking indeed, sorry, but it's true.

It's a problem.

With that said, it's also like the 55mph speed limit (or whatever). Everybody knows it's the limit but nobody follows it and the police either don't have the resources to enforce it, have more important laws to enforce, only enforce it upon the worst offenders, or look the other way altogether.

It's like we're all at each other when we get that it's a joke and nobody really says anything.

Nice to see another realist post. You are correct-the GOP base has excluded their party from seriously discussing solutions for far too long. When one tries to, the stupid RINO tag comes out. Notice the Dems in winning 61% of the electoral college over 24 years have seldom brought out the DINO tag.

We have 11 million here who are not going away and how we deal with it does not change that fact.
Those 11 million came here because of our lack of immigration enforcement, they will mostly leave by that same route if we start to enforce them.

We need to start somewhere, we need to start taking our nation's borders, it's security, it's culture and it's laws seriously or we won't have much of a country for much longer.

Using your analogy, the president just declared we won't enforce any of our traffic laws anymore, we'll only take a passing interest when we have a report of traffic fatalities.

I always stand o the rule of law. its illegal to cross the border without going thru proper channel for permission; plain and simple.I do not believe in rewarding those who break the law.

We'll always have one of the two largest economies, and #1 in per capita GDP of the large economies. We are one heck of a country, and that will last. We should be proud millions risk death just to join us. That should show us how much we take what we are blessed with for granted.

Illegal immigrants are a harm. They don't have to commit any crimes to do harm. Their existence does harm. Many of them drain money out of our economy by sending it home so that it gets spent in another nation instead of here. Many of them send their kids to our public schools funded by our taxes. If they get sick or hurt they go to our hospitals. They drive cars, contributing to traffic, pollution, and accidents. And there's an American citizen sitting on unemployment while the illegal alien works a job.

Now I personally don't fault the illegal aliens from coming across the border. They're just trying to feed their families and survive. I would absolutely do the same if I was in their situation. But to say they do no harm is not correct. In a world of limited resources, they are foreign citizens surviving on American resources while America itself runs massive deficits in social spending to keep its own citizens going.

Not always. That illegal doing stuff at folks homes for say $50/day, if he did not, homeowner would do it himself before being extorted for what natives would want for the same amount of work.

That's a myth. There are many Americans around here who would love to have off season work, but that is all being done by the illegals. A couple of the largest local employers around here will not hire Americans. They only put help wanted adds up in Mexican, (Guatemalan, Honduran as well) communities written in spanish so the Latinos could read them. My wife worked at one of those places and they will not hire Americans though plenty try!

And as far as the homeowner doing it himself, let him. He's not doing anything good for our country by hiring an illegal. Instead he's supporting some illegal to send all his dollars "home" to his family so they and all their extended family and friends can move up here, pile into one house (bringing property values down) and bringing their crime with them, destroying previously decent neighborhoods in the process.

And as far as "Jose" working for considerable less is just BS. That's just a perception. People automatically assume that Jose will work for pennies on the dollar so they don't even get bids from American owned companies. They just assume that they will be considerably more. What they get is shoddy work done to third world standards and if something happens to Jose they are screwed.

It's no myth. Every non-essential job has a critical price point, at which time the buyer walks away. He can do it himself, after all.
