I checked. I can't find it written anywhere in our constitution that says that we owe immigrants a better life. I doesn't mention welcoming illegals either. Most conservatives have no issue with legal immigrants. You know, the kind that respected our laws enough to enter the right way. The kind that don't abuse our generosity by violating the terms of their VISA's.
We need to help our own poor come out of poverty, in fact we owe it to our own citizens to see to their needs first. Our society owes nothing to illegals.
Denying entry to any illegal that can't meet our standards is not racist, bigoted or xenophobic. Every nation on the planet is entitled to set their own standard. I fully support a nation's right to determine the minimum standard that suits their individual needs.
I applaud your sense of compassion, but what about compassion for your fellow Americans who have been displaced by illegals?
The pro-illegals have no compassion for Americans who can't feed their own families because they lost their jobs to cheap illegal labor and the other negative impacts that illegals bring with them. Their sanctimonious, hypocritical attitude makes me ill. Choosing illegal invader, lawbreakers over their own fellow citizens is very puzzling.

Conservatives will never embrace the so-called progressive ideology nor should they. In regards to illegal immigration you are going to find that unless someone on the left has a pro-illegal agenda they are going to join this fight with us and yes it will be reflected in the next election. Accepting anarchy and immorality is "moving on"? I don't think so.
People make a big fuss about how we can't deport 11M people, but I think it can be done fairly quickly and without too much of a hassle. Here are some ideas:
- Drop the prisoners off across the border ASAP
- Let the illegals know they have 3 months to get out on their own and if they ever want to come back, they need to be gone by the 3 months. Make this real by allowing them to register themselves as back in their home country and put those immigration applicants first in line.
- Huge fines on any company caught hiring an illegal
- Reward money for leading authorities to any illegal
Main idea is you give illegals and companies 3 months to do the right thing. After that, huge penalties on both.
What else?
I'd agree but 3 months is way too long since some of those employers will try to sponsor their illegal alien employees AND that would let in their families and so on. I'd say give illegals 1 week tops to leave or face arrest, detention then deportation with a 10 year ban on reentry to the US.
They know they are here illegally and they know what is being discussed about their removal. They don't need any warning. They need to make a decision as to whether they want to leave now or stay and weather the "storm" that will befall them when strict enforcement begins. We can't continue to carry them any longer and it will come up again and again no matter who is elected POTUS. More and more people will become aware of the growing problem until it starts to hit those that thought it would never be on their doorstep.
