You seriously think that is going to happen? It's exactly as lvmensch said. On top of that, there is no money/no staff for enforcement. Then you have to prosecute them and prove they knew. There are many illegals who have SS cards, fake and and stolen, too. How about the legal employees who are also on the same payroll. They lose their jobs when the boss is busted. It's easier to just round illegals up and send them back. That is what Trump promised. Don't let him get away with amnesty and window dressing.

Maybe a little. But what really worked in getting the illegals out was the tanking of the economy and, second to that, the threat of deportation under SB1070. When SB1070 passed they were lined up moving to Texas. When the courts gutted it, they came back right back as the work became available. You want them out, they way to do it is tell them to leave and if they don't we will find them and kick them out.

Bottom line...no way is it going to occur.

Border Patrol union wants to double the number of border patrol enforcement types. Only problem is you have to double most of the Border Patrol to pull that off. You need detention facilities and courts and lawyers and judges.
It's easy to deport illegal aliens. Illegal aliens aren't idiots. They're humans reacting to positive rewards, just like anyone would do. They come here for the all-cash jobs under the table, the government benefits, and the promise of citizenship for at least their kids. Remove those incentives and they leave. They're not going to just sit here and starve. At that point, they'd probably migrate to Canada, continually following the trail of free money. Self-deportation is only mocked by people who aren't intelligent enough to understand what it means.

It's odd, almost like you made a post with no evidence or rebuttal but were proud of writing it.

Word is Canada doesn't play well with illegal aliens, I'm guessing that country actually enforces its laws.

Why do nativists always cite E-Verify as some sort of panacea that will instantly fix the immigration system? All it does is verify that the information on the fake documents presented by an undocumented worker are valid and match what is contained in government databases. All you have to do is find a valid SSN and create a fake ID that matches the name/DOB associated with the number on your fake SS card. Only the most rank amateurs can't get right past E-Verify. It has been mandatory in Arizona for several years now, if it worked like the nativists suggest, Arizona should be completely free of undocumented workers by now.

Please read this article. It was the Democrats that were bucking it not the Republicans.

E-Verify divides House panel - POLITICO

Also, most Republicans in congress are not pushing for mass deportations neither were the presidential candidates this year except for Trump.

You may have your definition, but that has to be made into federal law. Good luck with that.

This case involved an illegal alien who was a convicted felon already. They were non-immigration crimes thus making San Francisco a sanctuary city.
