This is unbelievable:

Obama partners with Mexican government to fight job discrimination based on citizenship or immigration status - The Unz Review

From the memo linked to in that article:

Quote:
OSC is responsible for enforcing the anti-discrimination provision of the INA. Among other things, this law prohibits citizenship, immigration status and national origin discrimination in hiring, firing or recruitment or referral for a fee. . . .
https://www.justice.gov/opa/pr/justi...discrimination

So an American employer can't discriminate against non-citizens in the hiring process? Come again?

Default Clinton,Obama and the Liberals!

They are terrified that As President Trump ,the wall is built and Illegals get deported and the basic rule of law is followed. It is clear that Liberals and Ms. Clinton want a totally open border with Mexico.

This violates all federal hiring laws and threatens US Security.

In Californa we're already there. Governor Brown has struck the term "alien" from the Labor Code, and there are restrictions on the use of e-Verify. Immigration status is virtually a protected class akin to groups that we're born into and have no control over, such as race, sex, and national origin.

Calif's "governor" NEEDS to be hauled up on Federal charges IMHO. Tho it probably WON'T happen under IF Hillary wins POTUS.

Yep thanks to the 1986 Immigration Reform and Control Act, you can't discriminate in favor of a US citizen over a green card holder, refugee or asylum. Companies have been successfully sued for large sums of money for so little as asking for more documentation of a muslim legal resident's legal status than they did for US citizens.

It is still illegal to hire and employee illegals but the government seems more interested in enforcing any discrimination against non-citizen than it does enforcing no hiring of illegals .

And thanks to the 1964 Civil Rights Act you can't favor native born over foreign born. And you can't treat an illegal that you are illegal employing different as that is discrimination and the EEOC can go after you .

It's all pretty stupid isn't it?

Okay, so that puts some employers in a catch 22. When we run an ad for employees, we get illegal immigrants who cannot produce documentation to comply the I-9 federal government requirements. We do not hire them--we can't. So how are we to not violate this new anti-discrimination law if they can't produce those documents and we don't hire them because they are here illegally without proper documentation.

I am assuming compliance with the I-9 is first and foremost. Hope so.

Yes, just make every applicant comply equally with the I-9. If you hire the illegal with no authorization to work, that's breaking the law. I'm certainly no expert, but employment law in general seems to put employers in a catch 22.

Jerks in government like Obama try to stretch laws to seem like not treating illegals equally or better is unlawful discrimination.
