That's your judgement and not everyone agrees. Some of us think it is more criminal for billionaires to avoid paying taxes than for the downtrodden to be criminalized for seeking a better life. You tell me which better represents our values.

When a burglar breaks into YOUR house, will you grant amnesty to the burglar? All he wants is a better life - at your expense.
When he takes up residence in your house, racks up medical bills on your credit card, is demanding that you cook his supper and send his children to your public school, paid for with your taxes, are you grateful for the opportunity to work for his benefit and let him take your property from you?

. . .

As to the other point of billionaires LEGALLY avoiding taxes... well, that's the difference between ILLEGAL and LEGAL behavior. Condemning legal behavior while condoning illegal behavior is a sure sign of mental illness - irrationality.

Criminals are criminals. Comparing the degrees of it doesn't change that. If you are speaking of Trump he did nothing illegal in regards to his taxes so he's not a criminal.

No one has a right to a better life by breaking laws and taking from others what doesn't belong to them. When this is done on a large scale as our current illegal immigration problem is it is devastating to millions of our own citizens. We don't have values that include the above.

I don't get it.

They come across, are put into a detention center and then released into America? Why aren't they being refused entry?

Trespassing is illegal, and as long as you're doing it legally there's no crime broken in avoiding unnecessary taxes.

Honestly one of the most frustrating things and as a citizen I feel utterly helpless that this BS is allowed.
