What you choose to ignor, is that NO Pligrim Pride executives were arrested. You see nothing wrong with that -- just get the illegals (who do YOU think will replace them?).
It might be like was on the news the other night, the man owned a business and had to let the Illegals go and the legals ones were afraid to work there any longer. He moved his business to Mexico. It may be that more and more will take that option.

That would not hurt my feelings too much------especially factoring in Mexico's barely above replacement level birthrate which will start forcing wages upward there in 10 years or less.

While you may be correct in your thinking that the executives were aware of the situation, and I personally think you are, there must be some evidence of that intent sufficient to justify legal action. Without that evidence it would just be police harrassment of the company. That would certainly be unacceptable if this were a botanica being raided for illegal workers and the owners were arrested without such evidence.
The only reasonable explaination here is that either someone complained about the workers and an investigation showed the complaint to be justified or the law officials were aware of the situation and this raid is one step in collecting enough evidence against the company to go after them.
In any case, there has to be sufficient cause to make an arrest.

Well if that were to be the case, I guess you might not have to learn spanish too quickly...naw on the other hand you may still have to, it really is a beautiful language

The executives won't face any legal troubles, the illegal workers get deported and the cycle continues.

It's a great idea to learn Spanish before taking a trip to Spain or Mexico, and certainly enhances your travel experiences but no American should be required to learn any particular foreign language just to live in his own country.
How would you like to be told you must learn Chinese in order to have a job and that if you don't attain native Chinese fluency you can forget ever having a job? Or Swahili, or whatever foreign language.

I guess before the massive invasion from Mexico, Americans never ate, never had roofs over their heads, lived in caves.
Well -- 300 illegals is certainly more than 2 offenses.
No you have to break 2 of the 35 something laws.
Quote:
Under RICO, a person or group who commits any two of 35 crimes—27 federal crimes and 8 state crimes—within a 10-year period and, in the opinion of the United States Attorney bringing the case, has committed those crimes with similar purpose or results can be charged with racketeering. Those found guilty of racketeering can be fined up to $25,000 and/or sentenced to 20 years in prison per racketeering count. In addition, the racketeer must forfeit all ill-gotten gains and interest in any business gained through a pattern of "racketeering activity.
If you accept fraudulent documents in addition to hiring illegals and probably not following wage and labor laws, that is at least 2.
