It appears to me that our system has this malady baked right into it. At best the can will be kicked down the road. Trump was the closest we got to fixing it. Imo, erasing borders and tens of millions of immigrants annually is not fixing anything and in fact would annihilate the country as a functioning entity.

It's not about fixing anything. It's about getting voters in. And more victims of oppression, i.e. people to oppress.

It might be getting old for folks who want the illegal immigrants. They are not actually illegal immigrants - they are boarder busters. So for you perhaps it's a case of mission accomplished, nothing to see here but for those who are concerned for the wellbeing of their country and in particular, democracy, it is a very serious issue.
Just the fact that the current regime wants the border busters is and should be for all, a major concern. Look, everybody knows what it's about.

And there needs to be a hurry. The process needs to be completed before the next elections. There will be millions of new voters to be registered to vote and two or three years is not a lot of time for the process really. remember several million more are still to come in. Sure, the process can be sped up but there is no time to waste. Unless the voter registration requirement is dropped.
