But last week, Choi hopped on a plane from Chicago to Washington D.C., where he stood on a stage in Lafayette Square and spoke before hundreds of immigrants, activists and allies urging President Joe Biden and Democrats to include a pathway to citizenship in the budget reconciliation package.

Um, he and the group he spoke before aren't immigrants they are illegal aliens! These activists are anti-American traitors to with no respect for our immigration laws. Our budget bill has nothing to do with illegal aliens nor should it and least of all providing these illegals with our citizenship and it doesn't matter how they got here either.

If Choi and his fellow illegals want to live the American dream then they need to go back to their countries of origin and follow the legal process to come here just like legal immigrants do.

We already have a pathway to citizenship. You apply to come here legally, then follow the steps to secure US citizenship.

Become a permanent resident.
Wait 5 years.
Don't commit any crimes while you are here.(Good moral character)
Learn English.
Understand the constitution.
Take an oath of allegiance to the United States.

People have been doing this for decades with no problems at all. No need really to change anything.

Yes, the deal is though that we don't need all of these illegals so they wouldn't be able to come here legally anyway. Tough! that's not justification for coming here illegally instead. As for the so-called Dreamers they need to return to their homelands and apply to come back legally. If we need them we'll admit them legally. The process doesn't begin on our soil. They aren't special just because their law breaking parents brought them here.

They don't care about a pathway to citizenship. Too much work and takes too much time. What they want is amnesty. Have good old demented Biden wave his magic pen and they're now instant citizens.

They should just be honest and come right out and say it. They want amnesty, they want it now, and they think they're entitled to it. The easy way out. Rules and laws never meant a thing and never will.

Here's an article from a DACA recipient and she called those of us who expect them to return to their homelands and apply to come back legally rather than an outright amnesty, anti-"immigrant". What utter BS! We don't oppose legal immigration so she's a liar! She nor her fellow DACA's are immigrants they are illegal aliens and then she goes on about wanting her parents and grandparents to be granted amnesty to. Just as I have been saying all along this won't end with just amnesty for the DACA's it will include their family members here illegally to as they will demand it! Why can't those who are sympathetic towards the DACS's see this? She spoke with Kamala and she is promising it along with citizenship for them all.

You are exactly correct. It is a grave injustice and a tragedy that illegal immigration has been allowed to continue on this long--decades. Over time, it has exerted downward pressure on wages, erosion of voting power, and lowered standards of living for US citizens.

The injustices that American individuals and families suffer due to illegal immigration:

- Delayed marriage and/or family planning
- Delayed first home purchase
- Unrealized life goals and dreams
- Gaslighting by politicians who insist that illegal immigration and amnesty is inevitable and just simply must be accepted; they are asking us to accept downward economic mobility and loss of voting power
- Loss of life by illegal aliens when a murder is committed; if the illegal alien were not here, those people would still be alive

US Citizens and our needs come first. Every time a politician asks us to make way for illegals, they are asking us to participate in our downward economic mobility and decreased opportunities, and I say no--and how could you ask that of us? Shame on you. That politician is representing foreign nationals and ignoring their own constituents.

We keep telling these people to do things the right way(half heartedly), yet tell the employers to do things the right way with much less conviction than even that.

It appears to me that our system has this malady baked right into it. At best the can will be kicked down the road. Trump was the closest we got to fixing it. Imo, erasing borders and tens of millions of immigrants annually is not fixing anything and in fact would annihilate the country as a functioning entity.

Maybe by creating 30-40 more topics on this message board and parroting the same tired talking points will do the trick? Seriously, doesn’t this get old after a while?

Anyone that doesn't like the topic of illegal immigration of which is what this forum is about is welcome to leave. Those of us who oppose illegal immigration are going to continue to post the truth in here and those who have the opposing view can continue to post their anti-American lies over and over to. So what's the difference? Sounds just like the liberal left who always wants to squash any view contrary to theirs. Ain't gonna happen! There are new developments every day with this crisis on our border and it's a good thing to keep our forum members informed of it.

They should call it by what they really mean, "Shortcut to Citizenship"
