[quote=Oldglory;62190982]Lol, so these migrants were showing up at our border in droves because of the Covid pandemic in their own countries? Last I looked our country was infected with it to so that makes no sense. Wanting economic opportunity is no reason to claim asylum in our country nor does it justify sneaking into our country illegally.

What is some of their family doing here and some still in their own countries? That makes no sense either unless those here are also here illegally. The whole family lacks morals and scruples then.

Sorry, none of my links would work.

You should use your terms correctly. Emigrate means to leave one's country to live in another. Immigrate is to come into another country to live permanently.

None of these migrants have any intention of ever leaving, and they break our laws to get here. It's why they're called illegal immigrants. They are law breakers that will never leave because we have a demented fool in the White House that is just as much of a criminal by looking the other way.

It really is pathetic and disgusting that an (alleged) leader of a country is so dismissive of its laws. He should be held to a higher standard and prosecuted for his crimes. Impeachment is not good enough for the damage Biden has caused.

LOL, you REALLY think those people bouncing over the border know what our economy or employment numbers are? in actual fact, the covid welfare state has just ended. Many AMERICANS are looking for a job and will get one. some are however going to stay home still, because they are going to get the NEW welfare check to t he middle class-t he EXPANDED MONTHLY child tax credit. Moms are staying home with thier kids now. some of those are seeking remote work as they tasted it during covid.

NONE of this justifies the illegal entry of unvetted and unpermitted , unknown, MILLIONS into our country.

This isn’t true. What do you think all the remittance money is for? Half of them are sending money back to buy property, invest in a business or build a home that they eventually plan on going back to. Many have gone back to their countries of origin at some point for this very reason. Others have gone back to enjoy their retirement years back at home. And yes, many end up staying as well.

Remittance money that isn't spent in our economy while reaping the benefits of it to the tune of over $100 billion a year vs the $19 billion that they contribute in the way of taxes. Jobs that are stolen from Americans by working for less in collusion with their greedy employers, added crime rates (felony ID theft comes to mind just for starters). Overcrowded schools, jails, healthcare facilities, roads and neighborhoods. No respect for our immigration laws and American citizens. Yeah, a real win-win these illegals are.....NOT!

Fact - Illegal immigrant workers contribute more to the American economy than cranky bitter retirees.

Fact, American retirees already contributed to our economy for over 50 years and they didn't violate our immigration laws or commit felony ID theft to do so. Most served in our military to and risked their lives for the safety of our nation only to see our own borders overran with illegal invaders.

Nothing cranky or bitter about expecting our immigration laws to be respected and enforced and in fact it is honorable and patriotic.

I thank all veterans for their service and appreciate the years of hard work that American retirees contributed to the American economy. Do both of those facts justify cranky and bitter demeanor? No, they do not. Also, the fact remains that retirees are currently contributing ZERO to the economy whereas illegal immigrant workers are contributing. This fact cannot be disputed.

Illegals aliens will be retiring eventually to and they won't then be contributing to any economy either so what's the point? Everyone retires eventually! In fact unlike the American worker they are taking more than they are contributing but they should be praised for that??? I know many American retirees who still work part time or do volunteer work.

I ask again, what crankiness and bitterness is involved in wanting our immigration laws respected and enforced? Crickets......

Talk about dehumanizing! To say they contribute nothing is way beneath you.
