More 'asylum seekers' shipped to Maine under orders of liberal politicians and provided beautiful hotel rooms in coastal Saco.

https://wgme.com/news/local/asylum-s...ed-about-costs

No mention of where these asylum seekers come from. Why have they been transported all the way up to Maine, where there is a serious shortage of affordable, safe housing for citizens? What terrible conditions do liberals claim these people need to escape from? How interesting that they are just in time for the vital November election, when Governor Janet Mills, a very corrupt and unlikable Democrat prosecutor, is running against Paul LePage.

The Portland Press Herald, Bangor Daily News, Lewiston Sun Journal, and Kennebec Journal do not report on these events. So much for serious journalism. They insist on keeping puff pieces in the news like "Chellie Pingree calls for investigation into possible union busting after Augusta Chipotle closes" and "Monmouth Fair has perfect weather, strong attendance." And they wonder why subscribers have left. The corruption is apparent in the news coverage. The way they push liberal lies is insulting to American citizens.

The only viable claim for asylum is persecution. What persecution are most of these asylum seekers fleeing from? I think we all know that they are economic migrants making bogus asylum claims. Once they are allowed into our country they disappear into the woodwork. In the meantime we pick up the tab for all of their immediate needs.

I would guess that the jobs there don't pay enough for people to afford to live there, thus they have job openings hoping they get some "slave" labor that we the taxpayers will subsidize. They need "identities" so everyone should be watching their "private" information for a illegal invasion also. Once they start dropping anchor babies, they can get housing.

In Emporia, KS during COVID, so many illegals living in the same homes that when they tested positive, with no bedroom to be isolated in, they put them up in a hotel at government expense, well, taxpayer expense.

We need to start clamping down on this a little at a time, kind of the way the government sneaks around trying to force stuff on us that we don't want.

Can we survive another two years of Democratic insanity in the White House? We must! If we can clean the House and the Senate though in November, we'll be part way there!

Why are they being sent to Maine and other states that are really cold in the Winter? These people are used to warmer climates plus it costs more to clothe them for 4 seasons Vs 1 or 2 ?

Ultimately the answer is, the Dems are sending these "migrants" to the Red and Purple states because we all know that eventually they will get a vote regardless of their citizen status.

Default Why don't liberals help these Americans?

Article in the Sun Journal about an American family working in Maine, living in their van at a Maine Turnpike travel plaza because they cannot secure an apartment or small dwelling due to a severe shortage of rentals available:

https://www.sunjournal.com/2022/07/2...-maine-family/

Liberal politicians have no interest in American citizens who need help. It doesn't further the Obama/Susan Rice/Klaus Schwab agenda. Governor Janet Mills and team happily put up asylum seekers shipped up here from Boston and Houston in hotel rooms, but our own American citizens are denied the assistance.

The article cites Catholic Charities as the motivating force behind this effort, not exactly a group that I would to be an arm of the Democrat Party.

I guess the small roadside motels out in the middle of nowhere are making big bucks now. I am sure that is how those "Charities" the govt gave money to, are selling this. As a way to boost the local economy.

I not be surprised if the people who own some of these roadside motels that not make profit for years but rose in RE speculative value, and the people who head up the "Charities", and the politicians they deal with all have known each other for a long time.

I find that surprising. When you think of Maine, you think rural, which makes you think population decline. Maine and New England in general have not historically been a place many illegals or migrants go to. Vermont, NH, and Maine are some of the "whitest" states left in this country in fact.

How very sad! It makes me angry to hear about Americans who are hard working yet unable to find an affordable place to live. Meanwhile so-called "migrants" are given places to live

All those Afghan refugees (the ones Biden put on planes while leaving many Americans behind) come to the US and demand that they be relocated to either Northern CA or Northern VA. I live in Northern VA and there is a severe shortage of affordable rentals. Now there are Afghan refugees competing for those very same apartments Those who resettle the Afghans are now talking about having 2 families share a house---oh great! It's bad enough that the illegals and other Middle Easterners are overcrowding houses but now they want to have these Afghan refugees adding to that problem.

It's absolutely disgusting that American citizens are being treated like second class citizens in their own country.

Somalian refugees flocked to Lewiston Maine twenty years ago. Other African refugees soon followed. Portland Maine has a large population of African refugees.

The asylum seekers are being shipped by the Biden Administration into pockets of Maine, Pennsylvania, etc. People from Angola were bused up from Boston to a turnpike motel in Auburn Maine in Maine. The motel was given NO advanced notice. The people had nothing--no spare t-shirt and no identification and had no way to walk to local stores because the motel was several miles south of the downtown. But the people had cell phones that were to be used to keep in touch with the liberal immigration officials in Boston. How do they end up all the way here in Maine, if they lived on another continent and could have gotten help from a closer country?

It's not their fault that they are being used as pawns. It's corrupt Biden people like Susan Rice who seem so bent on destroying our nation and our Constitution. Shame on them for using vulnerable people this way. Obama and Soros should be tried for treason.
