Migrants staying at the Big Apple’s controversial tent shelter at Floyd Bennett Field have started going door to door in nearby neighborhoods begging residents for cash, food and clothes, furious locals told The Post Friday.
David Fitzgerald, 62, said he has noticed an influx of asylum seeker families showing up on his doorstep in Brooklyn’s Marine Park neighborhood in recent weeks asking for spare change — sparking safety fears among some of his neighbors.
“There’s definitely an invasion of immigrants from Floyd Bennett Field in our neighborhood and I see them sitting outside stores … outside the mall and going around to all the houses in the neighborhood, knocking on the door looking for money,” the retiree said.
These so-called "migrants" have some nerve I'm surprised that people even open their doors when they come knocking. If someone I don't know knocks on my door, I don't answer it.
I guess those criminal smugglers they chose to do business with are expensive.
In the meantime the leftist want people to react with emotion and pity not logical and practicality. Emotions affect decisions all the time frequently for the worse. But those same leftist feed off of emotion like a vampire off of blood.
Interesting that they have money to pay the smugglers but then claim poverty on this side of the border. Why can't they just use their money to improve their situations where they came from and leave decent people alone?
If you give them money, their numbers multiply, if you don't give in to their demands - violence and mostly peaceful riots will soon follow. Just look at America's history to see our future.

Because they came believing they would have all their needs met with shelter, food to their taste (they are complaining the food isn't good enough for them), clothing, just whatever they needed. They think that is the "American Dream" which some were saying is now dead, and they were thinking about going back home.
What could go wrong? We let millions of people into the country who all expect to be treated better than our citizens, but they have no place to live, no money, no health insurance................Some would have been drug mules or transporting in others to "sell" (human trafficking), thus "paid" their way in.

Those are the kind of people that virtue-signalling brings.
