A few days ago, U.S. House Speaker Mike Johnson said that Republicans would not support any aid to Ukraine unless it was accompanied by new border security regulations. In particular, such norms include the construction of a new wall on the border with Mexico, as former President Donald Trump wanted.

Well what does that tell you about the Democrats? In addition note the last names of the quoted statements in the article of those congressmen who object to this bill and finishing the border wall. Go figure.

I think the challenge of additional money to Ukraine just got a lot more difficult. https://www.cnn.com/2024/01/11/polit...ort/index.html

Desperation may bring those who object to this bill back to the table, and this new information to require a bit more cooperation and "compromise".

The compromise had better be on the part of the Democrats though for a secure border and to put an end to this massive wave of bogus asylum seekers being allowed into our country.

I agree.

From what I read a couple of days ago, dems would not budge on certain things regarding the right of pardon (or something like that) which basically allows the release of all "immigrants".

But after the story yesterday about the lack of tracking the Ukraine monies, I think the road to get more funding will be very difficult.

I think we will see what is more important to the Democrats...

While these two very big items should be separate issues, the government, in it's infinite wisdom has tied it together...

"Well what does that tell you about the Democrats?"

It tells us that they care more about the Borders of Ukraine than our own Borders.

They tell us that we have to keep paying for this war because if Ukraine falls then Putin will be marching across Europe next. Does he even have the resources for that? By this logic We should be protecting our Borders better because the invasion of "migrants" will be heading to Canada next....

When our resources run out that is just what they might do.

But we were told by Leftists here that Republicans didn’t care about fixing immigration but whenever they do try to fix the immigration mess, look who is always there to impede them, the Democrats.
