A fairy appeared one day to a refugee claimant
outside a San Diego immigration office.
'My good man,' the fairy said, 'I've been told to grant you three
wishes, since you just arrived in the United States with your wife and
five children.'
The man told the fairy. 'Well, where I come from we don't have good
teeth, so I want new teeth, maybe a lot of gold in them.'
The fairy looked at the man's almost toothless grin and -- PING! --
he had a brand new shining set of gold teeth in his mouth!
'What else?' asked the fairy, 'two more to go.'
The migrant claimant now got bolder. 'I need a big house with a three
car garage in La Jolla on the water with eight bedrooms for my family
and the rest of my migrant relatives who still live in my country. I
want to bring them all over here..
' PING! - In the distance there could be seen a beautiful mansion with
a three car garage, a long driveway, a walkout patio with a BBQ in an
upscale neighborhood over looking the bay.
'One more wish', said the fairy, waving her wand.
'Yes, one more wish.
I want to be like an American with American clothes and I want to live American.
' PING! - The man was transformed, wearing worn out jeans, aNFL T-shirt and a baseball cap. He had his bad teeth back and the
mansion had disappeared from the horizon.
'What happened to my new teeth?' he wailed. 'Where is my new house?'
THIS IS GOOD ......
The fairy said 'Tough, Mac, Now that you are a tax paying American, you
have to fend for yourself.'
Agree. Mexico has basically the same "air, water, climate, and resources" as the US....certainly at least this is true of the US Southwest. Even many of the PEOPLE are the same, racially and ethnically. What's different is the 'system'..one "works", while the other does not. I believe and will CONTINUE to believe that "race is unimportant, but culture is literally EVERYTHING".
Canada is not much different than Siberia, in terms of geography, climate, etc. One is a "nice place" while the other is not. Why? Culture. The people who LIVE in Canada simply "use" their land differently than those in Siberia use theirs..
Mexico is NOT a small country, nor does it have tough, insurmountable problems in resources or climate. It COULD be a very wealthy country. The only reason Mexico doesn't "work" is that the culture there (the 'system', if you will), doesn't allow this to happen.
If Mexico were to fly apart; which is plausible with the narco terrorism especially in Nuevo Leon...........it would not surprise me to see the US government step in and seize the whole tier of northern Mexican states then apply martial law.

other than the fact you picked on a race of people and thats unkind. It was funny and too true.
Good for you. If they don't get what they need from the tax dollars that are stolen from me, too bad. I hate cheaply made products and refuse to buy them or shop at Walmart.
I have always found beautiful things in Mexico. They are quite artistic,
but maybe it is because I see the beauty in the people, making the best of what they have. I have never thought I was better than them, so maybe that might have made the difference.

America is not capable of annexing Mexico.
Plus world public opinion would be strongly against that.
Imperialism is so 70 years ago.
I know you think the US is perfect, and base your opinion of Mexico by a 10 minute stint in Tijuana's red light district(the area immediately across the border), but it'll never happen.
