I say deport. Most of them were never interested in assimilation. They were interesting in the resources.

I too voted 'deport'.

If we were dealing with 300-500K illegals and the economy were booming; I would be OK with a limited amnesty.

7-12 million ilegal aliens plus their Anchor Babies is not acceptable---------and, the displayed insolence of same in the so-called 'rights' marches 2 years ago really turned me against any form of amnesty.

I voted deport them. Like Arizonabear, I feel that this would be a different discussion if there were only a few hundred thousand illegals living in the US. But there are a few million, and that is just too much.
Besides, how do you force millions of people to assimiliate? Especially when they are so stubbornly against it? Impossible.

I agree with Camping...........I vote Deport. Their living the illegal tradition now and feel none of our laws pertain to them.
So whats going to make them follow any conditions or Laws after they're rewarded for not following them?

The one that is more feasible.

However, I'd like to see all illegals who have committed violent crimes to be deported.

Deport them, beginning with the gang members and violent criminals. In addition, the countries of origin of those incarcerated should be billed on a monthly basis for their expenses.

deportation is meaningless with an open border. fix the holes and then worry about deporting.
fyi a basic requirement for legal immigration is no felonies but since our government has been practicing illegal immigration that law went by the way side too for last 30 years. that is why we got mega problem when you break 1 law the rest are easy.

I agree that we need to plug the holes. Deport them just the same and then deport some more.
