I've gone on a Farmingville rant before and won't do it again... Maybe your story will do to Patchogue what the movie did to Farmingville. It could fairly deflect the stigma on Farmingville that was based on a small corner along the Patchogue/Medford border.
Off topic but the Mobil station by my g/f in Rocky Point was always 50 to 1.00 more than everyone else around...Almost no cars at the pumps and same with the repair bays...Figured he was dealing or something...

Yeah, I don't like disrespect for the law either, like when some people can speed without any fear of consequences because someone related to them gave them a card which indicates said relative is in a certain occupation....if you catch my drift.

Put in the story how apathetic the SCPD is toward minorities. Been like that for many years.

They NEVER would do a story on that.

You see, the victim, is not a minority, poor, and an illegal.

Not "newsworthy".

Exactly. Strange isn't it how illegals crimes are not broadcasted daily or in the newspapers day after day. Matter of fact it appears these stories "don't even" make the news. I am hoping this reporter gets no input unless she agrees to do the story on the illegal who slammed into the cab along with her original request.

I also agree with most of the commenters here. It is not a racist issued, it is an economic issue that affects the working class and middle class families. They keep wages down, do not pay taxes and use tax supported services...healthcare, educational services, prisons etc.

I detest the argument "they do jobs that most americans wont do". The truth is, there willingness to accept jobs off the books and for lower wages alters supply and demand and keeps wages low. I agree that we also need to place huge fines and prison sentences on employers that hire illegal immigrants.

I think the governenment backed by huge corporations does not want to close the borders because business will have to pay more money for labor.

I also need to mentuob Gangs that form from the children of illigal immigrants have huge impacts on our neighborhoods as well as there willingness to live in subpar conditions. (groups renting and living in illigal apts)
