PHOENIX (AP) - The self-proclaimed "toughest sheriff in America" has announced plans to keep illegal immigrants separate from the rest of the inmate population at tents in Phoenix that house prisoners.

Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio accompanied about 200 inmates—along with members of the media—from an area jail to Tent City on Wednesday.

I fail to see the news in this story. Arpaio has been housing inmates in tents for years...(so does the sherriff in MY county, on some occasions). WE also do the same thing to soldiers in Iraq, and to boy scouts and fire fighters in America.

People in tents....so what? Would they prefer cells, ......or cages?

I would think they would appreciate being housed in tents. I’m sure the aroma is more pleasing. They can even build fires, exchange stories, and make s’mores.

Now, now. . .don’t be afraid, Benicar will help you. I even promise not to peek.

Seriously, there is nothing wrong or inhumane about housing illegal aliens in tents. If tents are good enough for our soldiers, they are good enough for people who have no right to even be here.

Absolutely! We should bill their countries of origin.

I pay good money to camp in a tent, it's not that bad.
