As JDubs, Benicar, and many others here have stated; the 14th Amendment was specified to protect the freed slaves-----------not the US born kids of people who came here illegally of their own free will.
We all know how important JDubs and Benicar are to this forum. But I haven't been aware of any national movement within the black community aimed at changing the 14th amendment. However, if there isn't there should be. It would seem that the career Democratic politicians are too busy hispandering and have definitely neglected the black community. Let's face it, I can't think of anything that would get the voter minded career Democratic politicians attention any more than a disgruntled black community demanding that that the career Democratic politicians stop their obsession with amnestying future illegal alien Democratic voters who would be in direct competition with blacks for jobs and to devote MORE time to the needs of the black community, which could include changing the interpretation of 14th amendment.
