That's a good one, so you think Mexicans are leaving their country to come here to avoid crime? I know hundreds of people who have come from Mexico to work in the US and not a single one came here for that reason. Every single one I know came for economic opportunity or to be with family. The crime there has been blown out of proportion to scare US tourists. Besides Ciudad Juarez, Tijuana, Nuevo Laredo and a handful of other border areas Mexico is an extremely safe country.

Depends on what crimes you are talking about. Jumping our borders illegally is one of them. How about identity theft and working with fake papers, tax evasion. All are guilty of the first offense and many if not not most are guilty of the other two.

Exactly! If you're not really living it you can't completely understand it.

Why don't you come down to my next of the woods (Southern Arizona) for a while and then see if you still think it's a "minor annoyance". As for the barking dogs and potholes in the streets...we have an over abundance of those also and they are more than a minor annoyance, although definitely NOT on the scale the illegals are.

Thanks for the invitation. I'd love to leave Minnesota and spend November-March of every year in Southern Arizona. Tolerating undocumented immigrants is easier than tolerating below zero temperature Minnesota winters.

I've yet to have a snowman break into my house and drag all my stuff down the Canyon to a camp.

LOL! That was funny! Besides comparing the snow in Minnesota to the illegals in Arizona is ridiculous anyway. Its like choosing between cancer and a heart attack. Whats the point? We don't want either.

Even better, you or I couldn't move to Mexico, we're not wanted there.

What makes you say that? I lived in Mexico for a year and I didn't have that impression at all. In fact, the people there were more warm and welcoming to me than most people I've come across in the U.S.

Then why do you still live here in the USA if you were treated better SoB?

Lots of reasons, the principal one being money, obviously.
