Bandera Bulletin

Quote:
On June 29, Bandera Police Officer Allen Kelley responded to a complaint that three people appeared to be intoxicated at the Sonic on Main Street. According to Sheriff's Sergeant Shane Merritt, Kelly determined the individuals to be at various degrees of intoxication and, after verifying their identities, that they were illegal immigrants.

That same night, Sheriff's Deputy Bryce Mangold arrested two individuals, also in the country illegally, for public intoxication at the Bandera Shell Station. All five people were held in custody until picked up by Immigration and Naturalization Services.

Merritt said that there are no pending charges in the county and that all five people were deported to Mexico the next day.

I don't see the problem really, if you break the law you get your identity checked. If you get it checked and you shouldn't be here, or you have warrants, they take the appropriate action based on the law.

If you are committing a violation of the law already by being where you shouldn't be, you really need to keep your nose clean.

A sobering reminder to ALL illegals of the dangers of "B.I.U.I"....(being illegal while under the influence)....normally, drunks APPRECIATE being offered a 'ride home'...but in this case, sounds like this was not the way it worked out.

That's awesome and EXACTLY how the border patrol and other agencies should be able to act. Catch and deport.

It amazes me that happened in the little town of Bandera. Pigs do fly!!

I wonder if all small towns are doing this, here in Texas.

Waiting for the pro-illegal to announce it hurts the local economy because alcohol sales will go down because we are deporting drunks
