That shuts the race card right up, and we move on to their education, I nail them to the floor, and they are at a loss for words. Then the racist side of them comes right out everytime, all the sudden I'm a white A$$ redneck. Really, I thought I was a hippie for a little bit of my life.
What would you say if someone said they were scared about the ethnic composition of the country changing?

Being Apache I've seen this play out and I love to watch them stutter when they bring up the race card. Most Illegals are Mexicans and S Americans of Indian descent. They don't know what to make of me as I too am Indian.

Would you be against that mentality, or would you understand it?

Frankly, I can't understand anybody giving a second thought to the ethnic composition of their country, no matter WHERE their country is. I can't think of a single example of people "caring" about their country's composition, its religion, OR its culture...except for a very few benighted souls living in remote parts of the United States. We're the LAST holdout for those resisting multiculturalism, and it's high time we caught up with the rest of the world.

Pardon me for 'butting in'....but I'm just SO upset at living in this 'backwater'. It's time America 'got on board' with the world out there. If THEY can embrace each others' cultures, I see no reason WE can't. Maybe if we 'grow up' a little more, and making newcomers feel welcome, people will start immigrating here, instead of staying away like they have.

Thanks for letting me 'vent'.

Maybe if our culture did not consist of eating cheeseburgers and watching reruns of the Dukes of Hazzard, they would respect us more.

I do not see how enforcing laws is racists because we put bank robbers in jail and no one says thats racists.
As a fellow Houstonian, I have to say you should have known better than to say something like that. Overall, Houston is much more sympathetic towards illegals than most cities. And I'm not saying I disagree with you. Just saying, it's Houston.

I'll agree with you when you condemn the businesses that hire them
