That group has their right to protest, but the mayor has the right to not agree with them. Is he expected to take a back seat and support what can in its own right be considered a racist group?
I'd like to see how many people in this country have roots that aren't migrant. Truth is we're all immigrants. Whether our families came from Mexico, Spain, Europe, Canada, or wherever.
The label of being illegal is silly. Should people be blamed for wanting to live in the greatest country in the world. Our forefathers would be disappointed to see so much hatred towards immigrants, especially when they themselves were immigrants.
What has this group done to deserve the label of racists? Surely, it’s not due to their opposition to illegal immigration.
We are not all “immigrants.” Some of our ancestors may have been immigrants; however, I was born here -- as were my parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, great-great grandparents. An “immigrant” is someone born in one country who relocates (legally) on a permanent basis to another country, and gains citizenship in said country. My ex-husband is an immigrant, I am not.
You consider the term “illegal” as silly. You do realize we have laws in this country, don’t you? Those who break our laws have committed an “illegal” act. Entering our country in violation of our immigration laws, or overstaying visas, is ILLEGAL in accordance with our laws. Thus, those individuals are accurately classified as “illegal” aliens. They have no “legal” right to be here.
Do you consider it “silly” to have laws which prohibit others from entering your house without your permission? Do you consider it “silly” to require a license to operate a motor vehicle? Do you consider it “silly” to prohibit identity theft? Should we all be permitted to ignore the laws we consider “silly” and simply obey those we consider non-silly?

And once you self-described "mexicans" take over, this will be what our 'Communities of the Future' will look like. We can hardly wait!

That's pretty much speculation. When part of the U.S did belong to Mexico, in California, there were missions. Lots and lots of missions. Don't look too bad :

The Mexicans are going to make the U.S. look like Indonesia?
