I guess we should restrict this policy to citizens driving without a license.

Quote:
More than 200 marchers paraded Saturday from Roseland to Santa Rosa City Hall to call on police to stop impounding the vehicles of unlicensed drivers, the majority of whom are illegal immigrants.

The marchers, whose leaders met last month with Police Chief Tom Schwedhelm, said the 30-day impound requires car owners to pay about $2,000 to recover their vehicles, a great financial burden.

“We believe that our City Council would be respectful to immigrants and would be understanding of the suffering of immigrant families when their cars are taken,” said Richard Coshnear, a member of the Committee for Immigrants Rights, the event’s organizer.

The suffering of Illegal Aliens? How about the suffering of the law abiding Americans whose lives are ruined by the criminal element in hit and runs and other vehicle tragedies?

ROFL But the police are doing the job they are paid to do. Enforcing the law. What happened to the ever popular line. Illegals dont commit crimes. They try to keep a low profile and fly under the radar.
Driving without a licence? Thats a crime in all 50 states I do Believe. No licence might also imply no insurance.
Attending protests is hardly keeping a low profile. If the car is owned by an illegal it should be auctioned off at a sheriff's sale to help pay the costs of deportation .

Default From an earlier post

When we allow one law to be broken, for whatever reason, we open the door for someone to use the same rationality to justify the breaking of another law.

Like it or not, The United States of America is a nation of laws.......NOT a democracy......

So, if you don't like the law, then change it. Don't break the law and then flaunt it by waving the flag of your country in my face......don't demand that I submit to Your demands, and meet any requirements you percieve as necessary for your betterment in the life you pursue. You might start by initiatiating Your pursuit with a little honesty and abiding by the laws of THIS country.....

You left your country for a reason.....I can only surmise that your reasons are valid....BUT.......if you do not have the courage to change your own miserable homeland, if you are to much of a coward to save your own country, your own family, then don't expect any sympathy from me.....Too many good people have died to make this country what it is today....While the USA has her warts and blemishes.....She is far and away ahead of the hell-hole you came from.....
Don't try to change Her in any way because your country failed you (or did you fail your country and family? )

TIC. TIC, TIC.

Just another example that they believe that no laws are to applied to them, they are to be allowed to do whatever the hell they please. It's not just about coming here to take dirt paying jobs that no American wants, it's much much more than that. Just like the felony document fraud they are more than happy to do, they believe they should not be held to any law that inconveniences them.

He's trying to obfuscate the situation by saying 'immigrants' instead of 'illegal immigrants,' or 'illegal aliens.'

Ha ha! They must march. Or at least walk. They can't drive anymore without cars.
