how can I help improve this situation for others and myself?

I am nat. citizen and I had lost my drives ID in 2008 and still am fighting to get a replacement ID of a valid drivers ID simpliy because of the new rules I have letter from senators and org. asylum papers and other papers to prove Im not illegal until I can get a copy of my citizenship certificate, which can take up to another 6yrs and thousand dollars my mother already have spent. Is there an class act suit against this all..

The League of United Latin American Citizens(LULAC) sued the state of Ohio today in an effort to block the state from enforcing a new vehicle registration law that requires proof of United States residency. COLUMBUS, Ohio - A national Hispanic civil rights group on Tuesday sued Ohio to try to block the state from enforcing a new vehicle registration law that requires proof of United States residency.
The Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles in October sent letters threatening to cancel more than 47,000 vehicle registrations on Dec. 8 unless the registrants produce an Ohio driver's license, an Ohio identification card or social security number.
Before an August law change, none of those documents were required to register a vehicle in Ohio. In fact, it is still legal to register a car in a person's name even if that person does not own a driver's license.
"Although this is not outlined and they won't admit this, we feel this is an attempt by the state to enforce immigration laws," said Jason Riveiro, state director for the League of United Latin American Citizens, or LULAC.
"This is an issue concentrated on those who are undocumented here in Ohio but it is also an issue that affects those that are here on (work) visas and their families," Riveiro said.

sorry Im new to this site.. I must have wrote my response on the wrong part.. how ever.. My name is Claudia V. Flores. I was born in El Salvador and have been in the states with my mother and sister since "85". After years and thousands of dollars I became a citizen in 2004. However in a move one year my papers were lost/stolen. I then lost my drivers ID in 2008, and I have been fighting with the Ohio BMV to get a replacement ID of my valid Drives ID that expires in March 2010.. I have to now wait another maybe 6yrs and $500 or more to get a copy of my citizenship certificate that the BMV wants now that the rules have changed. I understand there are rules to every thing how ever until I get this paper I have other org. document even letter from Gov. Strickland and other Gov. who have looked at my case and can see Im not an illegal alien and should be able to get my Drivers ID. Yet still the BMV will not work with me yet other real illegal immigrants some how get fake ID's. I want to be a part of the change that will better improve Immigration rules and regulations in every and any way possible how can I help others and my self??

You better get in touch with ICE and explain your situation. Since you claim to be a US citizen----------it will be on record. Side note; ask your question over on the Legal Immigration Forum as well
I agree with you all, F the economy, let's eliminate 20% of our customer base, close down shop and go into poverty.

Yeah, can you see Americans, pulling this sort of crap, in other Countries, and wanting to SUE. No Nationalities, should believe they can come to the U.S. and break our laws and get away with it. Americans traveling to other Countires could not get away with this crap.
