(Few people who are not near immigration policy understand, for instance, that the newly legalized, particularly after they become citizens, obtain the legal right to bring still more migrants to the United States - our family preference system guarantees that. Fewer still understand the impact on the environment of a fast-growing population

Have we learned nothing from 1986? If another amnesty is granted, the floodgates will open even wider. Even if 12 million receive amnesty, they will bring at least an additional 36-40 million through family reunification. Imagine if the total is actually 20 million. We would then have an additional 60+ million for a whopping total of 80+ million new citizens. Our politicians have already admitted there will be more illegal immigration after an amnesty. What a nightmare. Wake up America!
