Leggett, Latino officials call for Hispanics to fill out census

Quote:
"If we fail to count all of our residents, we will lose millions of dollars of funds for important government programs," Leggett said at the press conference, held at the Mid-County Regional Services Center in Wheaton. The much-needed cash will support public programs such as free health clinics, public schools and roads, Leggett said.

And your point is? Americans are tired of paying for illegal aliens. Why is this an insistence from local government? They should NOT be counted as they are NOT supposed to be here. It is the governments fault if they rely on criminals for funding, no money should be given for that. Stay underfunded to stop paying for the criminals or get rid of them and get the true amount needed.

"We're up against people that really don't want Latinos to be counted, and that's a huge mistake," Hidalgo said. "If you love your schools, if you love your streets, you'll allow them to be counted."

Latinos can be counted, as long as they are legal. Illegals DON'T need to be counted. Those cities and states that harbor them SHOULD lose out, maybe when they don't have enough money to run their cities then they will think twice about the illegals they so love to coddle.

And those who aren't U.S. citizens are hesitant to be counted in a country they don't legally live in.
and SHOULDN'T be................. do we count VISITORS to this country in the census? The census is to gather information on the needs of the LEGAL citizens/residents of this country, not illegal fund sucking interlopers

I live very close to Mr. Leggett's jurisdiction of Montgomery County, MD. His county deserves to lose the money because he does everything to encourage illegals to come there. If you don't want to lose money get rid of your illegals, Mr Leggett.

I saw, absolutely disgusting....... but hey, Americans bring it on themselves to be honest with the "having to SHOW I have the RIGHT to vote is an infringement of my civil liberties" - you reap what you sow unfortunately....... something to think about
