Arizona may soon have the toughest immigration laws in the nation.

A wide-ranging, controversial measure moving quickly through the Legislature would, among other things, make Arizona the only state in the nation to charge illegal immigrants with trespassing. It would require law enforcement to try to determine the immigration status of people they suspect are here illegally. And the law would make it a crime to pick up a day laborer or be picked up as a day laborer.
Arizona may toughen laws on illegal immigration

Read and weep, illegal aliens and their enablers!

The Rev. Sue Youngblood with St. Matthew's Episcopal Church in Chandler said this state effort will push people out of Arizona.
"We need the immigrants. We need their labor," she said. "They are taxpayers, and they are consumers."

I noticed how those opposed to the bill cannot distinguish between ILLEGAL immigrants and LEGAL immigrants.
I hope the gov passes this. It really is only enforcing already federal laws.

make people fearful to report crimes and that children brought into the country by their parents could be criminalized under the bill's trespassing portion.
"If enacted, these bills could lead to separation of family members that would not take place under current federal law," the letter states.
They'll just have to think twice before entering the US illegally.

There's the RIGHT way and there's the WRONG way.

Illegals enter this country the WRONG way, and this new bill will let Arizona enforce the Immigration Laws the RIGHT way!..

GO ARIZONA!!!!!

I fail to see the point of toughening laws and/or passing more laws when the ones we already have are not enforced!

If Illegals are so valuable and a precious commodity why aren't States fighting over them? Why are their own Nations casting them out?

We "need" them like a virus.

If their own country kicked Joe and Linda out, then wouldn't that make them refugees?
