I'm on the fence. The way I see it is they'll keep coming to this country until NAFTA is overturned, might as well tax them. It would certainly help California's budget problem.

No, back to the end of the line and apply legally. If you can do as such and make an effort to become a part of our system, then we will welcome you with open arms. If you can not be bothered with such, have no respect for our laws and our processes, then you are a cancer to our society and will only contribute to the destruction of the very core to which the country stands. Be honorable, be respectful, and you will be welcome, do not, and you will be that of a sickness that needs to be purged.

Thank you so much for knowing the difference. The problem is that so many of them are already a Cancer to our U.S. Society. So many of them, do not respect our laws, and so many have no intentions at all, in being here legally. They commit crimes, but will they do the time. So many questions yet to be answered, but need some answers and very soon.

Maybe for some of them. I'm speaking of the kids who were raised here and have actually made something of themselves by being accepted into college and such. That doesn't mean automatic blanket amnesty, but I think there are certan groups that could be fasttracked or we can create other paths to citizenship for those who actually have something to offer instead of being a burden on society.

Everyone else needs to go.

I guessed the poll would say 80% against. Why is this even an issue? With a large majority, basically everyone except some relatives of illegals, being against it, why isn't the will of the people being followed? This is about how the democrats and republicans can get an edge on the votes. The democrats figure most liberals will vote for them, plus some of the 20% for amnesty, so they push for amnesty. What needs to go is the democrats and republicans, so we can get a government that represents the people.

What is funny is in all likelihood they will be given amnesty if the wacko wing in power stays consistent in their actions. Either that, or they will "backdoor" them in as "refugees" by allowing the border mess to keep getting worse. Its the hope and change "amnesty" repackaged as saving "refugees".

I really can't figure out if this guy wants a revolution or he is just the average clueless academic with no understanding of human nature.

What guy? Obama? I don't think he invented amnesty. Nor has he actually given it to anyone.

All of you conservatives who voted "no": remember that it was your hero, Ronald Reagan, who put us into this position with the first amnesty in 1986.
