It depends. If living in the U.S. as a citizen will get them more goodies many of them would choose to stay here instead. Look at how nationalistic the illegals are that we have here already but they stay here for all the benefits anyway. What we would be getting is the peasant poor as we have here already. We don't need that. It has already been shown that they colonize and therefore don't assimilate and dilute our culture instead.

Their hearts will ALWAYS belong to Mexico. Much like the Battered Woman Syndrome, they feel deserving of their rejection and believe being dumped on the U.S. is justified. They are as pathetic as the women who remain in abusive relationships. They will continue to allow themselves to be pimped by the Mexican government for the billions in remittances they faithfully send; and their disdain for this country allows them to exploit us without any semblance of guilt. As long as the U.S. tolerates this nonsense, they will continue to suck us dry.

And as soon as they get here they start whining that the US took half their country - but they don't want to live in their country anyhow so why the whining?

Border drug war: Violence wears on Valley of Juárez residents - El Paso Times

Hudspeth County Sheriff Arvin West recently said that Mexicans crossing into the U.S. were abandoning El Porvenir because criminal organizations had posted notices near the center of the colonia, ordering the residents to get out. The notices said people had 30 days to vacate or their families would be kidnapped or killed.

All it takes is for someone to put up some note telling them they have to leave their town so they all run and pack up and leave -- but not to other parts of their own country that are perfectly safe, they just see another excuse to run to the USA.

As soon as they make it over the border and have their food stamps and free government housing, they'll start complaining how Texas used to be part of Mexico -- but they won't defend what's still Mexico now.

And what is even more galling and pathetic is how so many pundits state that the USA is imploding due to drug usage, lack of respect for the Rule of Law, no work ethic and so on----------------what said pundits are describing must be Mexico (but will not admit to it).

Yes, and there's no way they're running to the plentiful jobs because unemployment rates are high in this region. They'll just flee and let whatever take over their town because it's just another good excuse to get over to the US and demand their better life of government handouts.

Many of them are the drug runners and I suspect that's another reason for them to stay near the border but switch sides as convenient. That area of Juarez is filled with drug traffickers - it looks like another cartel wants to move into that town so is telling the current residents to get out, then they can move in.

And to show what kind of people these are - there's an article in their paper about the thousands of dogs they're abandoing. In their eagerness to get over to the US, they're leaving their pets to starve to death.

Deja migración milesde perros callejeros. | Diario.com.mx

The article talks about many thousands of pets that are starving to death, abandoned by thousands of owners.

In the words of our great State..."Dont Mess with Texas".
Our Texas farmers near the border should not have to arm themselves when they go out in the fields.

Our farmers deserve better than that.
