Uh, oh....trouble in the hate state.

An Arizona sheriff is the latest person to speak out about the state's new immigration legislation, saying he does not plan to enforce the divisive law.

Pima County Sheriff Clarence Dupnik calls Senate Bill 1070 a "stupid law" that will force officers to start profiling. He is one of the first local law enforcement officials to rebel against the law.

Agree completely. The police cannot pick and choose what laws they want to enforce. He should be removed from office, pronto.

Kidnapping Capital of the U.S.A. – Phoenix Arizona

Brian Ross and ABC News report what officials caution is now a dangerous and even deadly crime wave. Phoenix, Arizona has become the kidnapping capital of America, with more incidents than any other city in the world outside of Mexico City and over 370 cases last year alone. But local authorities say Washington, DC is too obsessed with al Qaeda terrorists to care about what is happening in their own backyard right now.
“We’re in the eye of the storm,” Phoenix Police Chief Andy Anderson told ABC News of the violent crimes and ruthless tactics spurred by Mexico’s drug cartels that have expanded business across the border. “If it doesn’t stop here, if we’re not able to fix it here and get it turned around, it will go across the nation,” he said.

Considering almost every kidnapping are hispanics kidnapping hispanics, maybe there is a hidden agenda why the left does not want the illegal immigration laws enforced.

Actually, yes, they can, and they do - every day. Police departments have to prioritize. There's not much sense in going around and arresting people, knowing very well that there's a high chance that the charges will be dismissed by a judge. The police also have to be concerned about public relations. If the public doesn't trust the police, it can lead to bigger problems.

I agree, there's a hidden agenda all right..just not of the type you're suggesting.

If the law can be applied fairly, then there's no problem with enforcing it, but when it starts out as biased, it becomes an issue.

True, but there's a difference between prioritizing and blantantly refusing to enforce a law.
