The problem is that I don't think that LA does owns the power. The power is owned by Southern California Edison and other California utilities. Edison owns 15% of Palo Verde for example. LA buys its power from Edison and not from APS and, as far as I know, Edison is not boycotting Arizona.
It is just some more political posturing with nothing behind it.
This whole mess period should not be happening, Falult of our CARING FEDERAL GOVERNMENT. Who does not seem to give a hoot about this illegal problem, we currently have going on. Shame on all of them in power.

I agree. The government also does not seem to care about the infighting between the state leaders. I truly believe Californians as a whole are just as pissed at their state leaders as anybody else is.

Possibly that is exactly what they want to take the focus of their agenda.

Huh.. sounds very familiar. The L.A. city council wants to stop doing business within Arizona period, boycotting Arizona businesses. SCE can buy it's power from Arizona and resell it to L.A.- the electricity ultimately benefits the people of Los Angeles.. where the boycott is originating from. I would love to see Arizona cut the lights off, and I live in L.A.!! It would bring me back to the days of Grey Davis and the rolling blackouts.. What right does the Los Angeles city council have in taking stances in other states policies? I think that is above their pay grade and they need to shut it and work on the massive deficit Los Angeles has!! It's entirely appropriate for Arizona to cut our lights, same economic devastation we are trying to impose on them.. too bad we need the power worse than they need our business..

So be it then.....BOOM, BOOM, BOOM....out go the lights!
Old Pat Traverse tune just came to mind, but it's nice to see one LA rez here, that thinks it would be a sweet thing.
The money that could be saved.....along with hundreds of polar bears, would make Al Gore and all the tree-huggin environmentalists.... quite happy, I would think.
