Somebody told me awhile back that Avanti's of Peoria opened a place in B-N. They've been around a long time and the food isn't too bad. It's very popular around Bradley U.

Avantis was in Normal back in the 80's when I was in college. It is always crowded. I lived on their grilled mozzarella and their bread and meat sauce in college. YUM!!

When I lived in Ham-Whit in 92-93, Avanti's had $2.99 All-You-Can-Eat Spaghetti on Tuesday nights. While I doubt they have that special anymore, I was last at Avanti's 3 years ago, and it's just as good as it was 15 years ago. The bread/meat sauce combo is locally infamous.

Funny you should mention the all you can eat spaghetti. In college my husband would go there every Tuesday with friends for the all you can eat deal. At the time it was 2.50. One of his friends would take a stack of dimes and line them up on the end of the table and each time the waitress missed something he would take a dime off the stack. Whatever was left was her tip. This was in the old Avanti's building before they remodeled it to what you see now. I could really go for some of their bread and meat sauce about now...
