Yep, we is unedjumacated bumpkins right down here in Kankakee County. Then again, unlike people in a certain large county to the north, we by and large didn't vote for the honorable Jesse Jackson Jr. in the 2012 election.

Waste of (nearly unlimited) internet space and way too reminiscent of:

After looking seeing where the OP is from in his/her profile, I couldn't stop laughing. I have family in that part of DuPage County and have seen more than a few Confederate flags there. The best was the jacked-up pickup truck peppered with Confederate flag decals and the Stars and Bars flapping from a flagpole in the bed. Yes, in DuPage County. Glass houses.

Ghetto-fabulous?

..I was supposed to be down in Bourbanais today but time restraints caused a change of plans. The ONE crappy thing about Flossmoor is that it's a whopping 45 minute drive to that area.. In light traffic, I can get to Oak Park that quickly.

Dupage County has money though. So therefore, better than Kankakee. Get it now?

LOL JK

There is not much to see in Kankakee, generally speaking.

However, there is a golf course off of I-57 that looks nice. A few holes run literally right next to the Kankakee River --> duck hook your tee shot and it's in the river. Anyone know the name of the golf course I'm referring to?

I live a couple of miles from the Kankakee County border and a half hour from the city of Kankakee itself. I'd rather shop there or in Will County than in Cook County knowing I am funding gang members and baby mamas/baby daddies too lazy to work.

I am originally from Cook County and am so glad I got out of there because I was tired of paying higher and higher taxes to support the freeloading politicians and government employees who often got their jobs through nepotism.
