No. Salesforce *needs* people to work in IN so they can expand their business. Whether or not salaries are higher in SF isn't the only part of the equation for their business model. Duh.
McDonald's continued existence is vulnerable to the successes of any place outside of Indianapolis. He got into it with a poster in the IN forums and demanded they keep their opinions of Indianapolis to themselves. Doesn't seem like he's one for taking his own advice

Illinois flat tax is not a bad idea and the governor is even willing to raise it if Chicago puts their poop in a group. That won't happen until the Madigans are sidelined (through the Map amendment) or the old man dies. When even Raum Emmanuel is suggesting to unions to make concessions and not ask for even more gold bricks, things are pretty bad. Unlike Kansas and some other Midwestern states, Illinois has the economy and population to solve its issues outside of the state pensions. It's the anachronistic union leadership that believes they hold all the cards like they did in the 1970's.
No disrespect, but you are out of your skull if you think tech will completely dry up in
Silicon Valley. Just because the COL is cheaper in Austin and the State of Texas provides tax incentives
isn't the only part of the equation.

This topic has been well covered in major business magazines. Maybe visit your
local library and do a little research?

I tend to be a little more blunt unfortunately. Mr. 'Low taxes in IN' seems to be a little clueless at times.

He is a former poster who was banned. He has matured just a little bit since then. Not much though.
