Hi I will be moving to South Bend/ Mishawaka area in October from Albuquerque, NM. I have looked on line at apartments but would like some feedback. What are good apartments in that area? Thanks

Well compared to Alberqurey NM first thing youll notice is here youll have snow each winter. Including Lake Effect which works by blowing cool air over the warm waters of Lake Michigan. Cost of living here is probably lower than NM and if you have kids the best public school to send them is Penn Harris Madison schools in Mishawaka. idk much on apartments though but heres some general info for you.

Yes, snow is abundant here! Last year we had 105 inches to be exact! So get ready to invest in some warmer clothing.

Apartments here can vary. There are some real sketch apartments and then there is an area, just north of downtown mishawaka, that has a cluster of apartments that is right next to South Bend as well as the major commercial areas for the region which is in northern Mishawaka and Granger. Some apartments off of the top of my head include:

1. Runaway Bay Apartments - Northern Mishawaka
2. Remington Court Apartments - Northern Mishawaka
3. Indian Ridge Apartments - Northern Mishawaka
4. Main St. Village Apartments - Granger
5. Autumn Lakes Apartments - Southern Mishawaka

There are some condos on the river in both South Bend and Mishawaka that may be for rent. If I were you, I would choose the top three, but by far the nicest and priciest one is the Main St. Village Apartments.
