Tennessee is a much cheaper state to live in.

Prime example. My parents had a $115,000 house in Indiana. Now they have a $200,000 in Tennessee. The Property taxes & Homeowners Insurance is cheaper on the Tennessee house than the Indiana house. They also like Tennessee a lot better than Indiana, too. People are a lot more friendly(probably because they have things to be happy about. Not much to be happy about in Indiana) in Tennessee.
You're right. Every time I go to the pub with my friends, I am secretly wishing they would get just go into the bathroom and drown in a urinal.

The only cities I would ever consider moving to in Tennessee haven't been invented yet. I don't hold that against Tennessee, I think about Tennessee an average of zero times a day.

I've heard that Dyersburg, TN is a melting pot.

AH-HA! bstate16, I think you just put your finger on what's wrong with those idiots I work with at the restaurant...LOLROTF. They're not all from Indiana, though! Some are from Kentucky and others from Ohio... It's the Hoosier influence rubbing off onto them, I guess...

Also, their Utility bills and Car insurance also decreased.

I am a native Hoosier, and I live in Tennessee. You couldn't be more wrong about Hoosiers.
Stop embarassing Tennesseans with that kind of talk.

Generalizing the feelings of large groups of people never seems to be accurate.
I'm from IN (born and raised) and I am counting down the days I can leave this wasteland. The majority of my friends and coworkers also feel the same, but are held back from moving because of not being able to transfer jobs to other states.

Broadrippleguy, judging from your comments in other boards, you also don't like Northern Indiana, so I'm not sure where you're getting the idea that my OPINIONS are less than yours. As for you hoping that I'm "miserable where ever (I) go", I hope you stay in 'Suck Bend' for the rest of your life; you seem to fit in there. (notice the smile?)

then do me a favor and differentiate between the northern and central and southern parts of the state.
Not all of Indiana is bad. just this part
anyway have fun wherever you go. Indiana is leading the nation in job growth along with Texas so there arent many job prospects out there outside of Indiana

LOL ar indianas Napolean complex. There are many good and bad things about the state, I could rip on this craphole all day. Heres a funny one. Up north on Lake Michigan one of the towns there tried to drop a line into the lake and draw water. The rest of the Great Lake states and Canada had to come in and shut em down I remember Bart Stupak D-MI telling hoosiers to get their greedy hose outta the lake.

When I tell my family that IN is a great lake state they hold up their index finger and thumb about a half inch apart to indicate how much of a great lake state Indiana actually is LOL.

Fine, IMO, Northern and Central Indiana suck. Southern Indiana would be OK if it weren't for the risk of severe weather.
As far as jobs, statistics don't mean anything; it all depends on what field or type of job one's looking for.
When you're actually an adult and have entered the big-boy working work, then we'll talk.
Actually, come to think of it, I'd rather not.
