Ive thought of moving to ether Tennessee or Southern Indiana Ive heard bloomington Indiana is a good town. Where else would be good places to look in the southern part of Indiana? What would be good parts of Indianapolis to check out? Where in the south part of Indiana would be the best to have a water well? Ive been thru Indiana two times and I really enjoyed going thru Indiana Im looking forward to coming back for a visit.

It's nearly impossible to say where are "good" places to look as your definition may differ from mine.

I live in Bloomington. We like living here as there is much to do, great schools for our kids (although now both have graduated), and a generally laid back atmosphere. Very few homes in Bloomington and Monroe County use a well for water. The geography, with lots of limestone, makes that option costly. With the wide availability of water from Lake Monroe there is little reason for wells.

My first piece of advice for anyone considering a move is to make sure you have a job first.

Thanks for the response, if i move there my dad and his girlfreind would be moving there too, shes hispanic which is no problem with me but i want to find areas in southern indiana where that wont be a problem ether. so id be interested in mixed race communities. How about Evansville? I understand Indiana is a conservative state which is fine by me. For some people though having a mixed race relationship is too liberal. For me that doesnt matter as long as its one woman one man.

I second Bloomington. We live on the far south side of town, and it almost feels like we are outside of town even though we are in city limits. We can still be to the new Kroger in 5 min, campus in 10 min, and the mall in 15 min. Any eateries you want to get to are a quick 3 min drive up 37. Even though this is a college town, being 10 min south of campus gives you a family city feel. Almost all of my neighbors in our community are at least 30(I tend to believe I'm by far the youngest at mid-20's) and have kids or are planning to have kids. I have met people from India, Nigeria, South America, etc. that live in this neighborhood. This is a middle class area so townhomes are $1,000/mo to rent($150,000 to buy) and regular houses are $250,000 and up.

You may also look into Columbus. My parents live in the Knoxville, TN area and if my job will transfer me I would move to Knoxville. That is a beautiful area there(not that Bloomington isn't).

My parents have told me after moving from here to there, their property taxes cut in half, as well as car insurance, registration, home insurance, gas went down, etc. They have nicer vehicles and a house worth twice as much, too.
