I haven't heard about them letting teachers go yet. If I recall correctly, during the dark ages, when I did some student teaching in B-ton, teachers were worried every spring. It seemed that a certain number of teachers always got a pink slip because the union agreement required it be sent out before a certain date. Many were not let go in the end, but it was an annual thing.

Default Social Work positions hard to come by in Bloomington

Unfortunately, due to Medicaid/Medicare challenges in Indiana, MSWs are having a difficult time finding positions. I am grateful, as an MSW, to have a steady position. However, I just hired a licensed teacher at $9.50 an hour to be my administrative assistant. I love this town. It's where I want to raise my children, but I know a large number of unemployed or underemployed teachers and social workers. I wish you the best.
