My husband purchased a used car on 2/9/2017 signed a bill of sale and a retail installment agreement that stated the down payment was $1000 he paid it and took possession of the car he got insurance and paid his first months payment now over 2 weeks after the contracts were signed the dealership calls my husband at work and demands $2000 more down and when my husband tells him he cant afford that he tells him he will drop it to $1500 and if he doesn't have it to borrow it from a friend or relative or his boss at work is this even legal after he signed contracts issued by the bank who financed him stating the down payment was $1000 with no deferred down payment

Is this a legal question? A TV show pilot filmed in Indiana? A PSA about the importance of punctuation?
