Is it really cheaper to live in Indiana than Kentucky? Is the Indiana state tax 3.3 percent?

I think it depends on whether your considering west or east Indiana/Kentucky.

If you're thinking about west, I believe it is cheaper to live in Henderson than it is in Evansville, but I'd rather live in Evansville.

If you're thinking about east, then yes, Indiana is cheaper to live in than say Louisville, KY.

My cousin moved from Louisville,KY to Over the border of IN. She moved back a year later to KY - it was much cheaper to live in KY.

Sales tax in Indiana today is 7%. Areas of Indiana are extremely cheap. Especially in the rust belt cities of the north, Hamilton, Gary, Michigan City, South Bend, and Elkhart.
