Austin- about 4,700 people, very big small town feeling, the grocery store is called austin supermarket. and the downtown looks like one in an old cowboy movie in my oppinion. The Main highway's are US-31 and SR-256. I-65 serves it also. Its in Northern Scott county. Very Poor area, $28,000 average income. Although on the US-31 and SR-256 junction there are two nice, very big mansions, but those are the one of the only nice houses you'll see in this town. Heres what i dont understand about the place compared to Columbus..... Why does US-31 have 4 lanes in redneck town of Austin, and in Columbus it does not?!?!?! that makes me mad!

Butler - in the Northeast area at I-69 and US 6. Centrally located between attractions such as the Auburn-Cord-Deusenburg Museum, Pokagon State Park, Amish Acres, Mid-America Windmill Museum, and many others.

DeMotte, towards northwest Indiana. A couple car dealerships, 4-5 restaurants, a grocery store, a biker bar and a Hallmark. One stop light. Lots of farmland and Lots of dutch heritage.

Frankton east of Elwood area. Had to go there for a sporting event they sure didn't have much but a couple of restaurants, the school from what I remember. Saw a lot of empty buildings that "once were".

Haubstadt, a little German community (population about 1,500) just north of Evansville. Some people might now consider it a suberb of E-ville, but it's still a small town with small town feel. Home of the Haubstadt Sommerfest every June and Tri-State Speeway. Hubby is already back in his beloved hometown, and I will be too, as soon as I can shed this one in Texas.
