Hi all.

I am relocating to Indy and had a question about the weather.

I was in Southern Indiana last week just across the border from Cincinnati. I must say the humidity and weather was far worse than I expected.

I have never spent any time in Indy so I am wondering if there is a big difference in weather.

Thanks all

From what I've seen the few times I've been there, no, there is no difference.

I believe that the biggest difference would be seen mainly in two periods: the winter, where Indy will get more ice/freezing rain; and then during thunderstorm season, Indy and surrounding areas would see more activity, esp. tornado/severe, than southern regions. Otherwise, heat and humidity are just about the same during summer. Winter, less wind in the southern half. At least that has been my experience/observations.

It's hot and humid in both places. We had an early hot spell this year. Can't wait to see what late July/August will bring ... yikes!!!

This week seems to be a gorgeous one. Low humidity!!! Enjoy it while it lasts.

Think of it as a diverse climate.
